While browsing in the net today, I stumble this wonderful site about sketching a wedding gown. I got to think about how awesome it would be to have a sketch of my dress. ^-^.
This is one of my favorites bridal portraits by Brooke Hagel an artist and designer living in Manhattan. She'll do custom portraits for any occasion. Her bridal design, sketches and shots caught my eye.

The initial deposit of $100 is for 3-4 thumbnail rough sketches emailed to you. Once you choose the one like most, the balance is due and the custom sketch will be completed and mailed to you within 4-6 weeks
Dreamlines is another option and affordable. You can get a sketch of your gown. The only downside is that your not included in the portrait. But for affordable as $100 for 8 1/2 x 11 is an awesome and very good option.

I was really upset of what had happen last night but everything happens for a reason.
We had difficulty on choosing our wedding dates. Filipino tradition has a superstitious belief on choosing wedding dates. My parents choose according to the moon,full moon is good that's what they said, and my fiancee's parents choose according to the months, April and May is a good month to get married. We picked the date May 26. But because of the circumstances happened, we start again from the beginning.
Some of us believed Chinese Feng Shui, If your chosen dates does not belong from the Chinese Feng Shui , there are some solution with that. So don't be upset . You can follow this those who want to get married this year.

Anywhere and everywhere in the world month of June is very popular for weddings. But what is wedding all about? Why do need brides wear white dress? Is it necessary?
With my conversation with Sarah, my 91 years old employer, married for 67 years with her husband. She said wedding are the union of two person. She was married in a war time, and her parents in-law wanted her only to wear a blue dress that suits her husband wearing an air force uniform. When her father found out, he said no way "My Sarah , should wear a white dress" It came up to my mind the question , why do brides wear white dress for their wedding? Sarah told me white dress signifies virginity and purity. You walk to the aisle presenting yourself to your husband as pure which you kept throughout your life. Then, what if you are not a virgin? Is it necessary to wear white dress? In my point of view it is traditional most especially for a Christian Catholic Wedding. Wearing white dresses is a dream of every woman. Is it beautiful for a bride to wear a white dress for her wedding day
When I started planning my wedding, I soon realized that this is wedding all about. From a small tiny details, from the dress, motif, church, reception, hair and make-ups, hosting and event, accommodation and from your guest, invitation, souvenirs, etc.. I consider doing our wedding in my place, to my favorite and dream Church. But there is always a lot of suggestion and idea comes which I preferred not to bother. The hassle area now is the preparation of our Wedding Requirements. Our parents are the one who help us complying our papers but it needs a lot of reminding them, really difficult. huh! This is all about, about planning our dream wedding to be. But do we consider planning right after the wedding? This is the most important criteria of getting into married. Like what Sarah was telling me most often, never mind the wedding. The most important is right after the wedding. If you have something to eat, something to leave on and keeping going on life as a couple. That is the question all about??? Hehehe!!!

Sounds odd for everybody but me and my boyfriend "fiancee plan to settle down by the time we will be there (Philippines). Everything happen merely on the internet but it seems like we are close for each other.read this.Our only lifeline with this relationship is our computer and our phone. Nothing is impossible I think if you both interested and make an effort with the relationship you have. I agree maintaining a long distance relationship is very difficult. Probably, my friends, followers if I have (yes, I did have) hehehe!!! are scared reading with my simple revelation about wedding plans. Why? I hasn't meet the person, and we plan the wedding we wanted to be. With this society or world , I supposed it's not new especially those OFW , like me spending most of their time with their job to earn money while working abroad. While working they are sneaking around in dating websites to meet the partner of their life. I'm one of them hehehe and if they found their perfect partner they thought , some plane to meet first , and some plans to prepare a wedding and when they'll meet it's ended up in the Altar of Matrimony.. When my boyfriend (chatmate boyfriend) ask me "will you marry me? , with no hesitant and doubts I said "YES" crazy, isn't it??? I haven't meet him in person but I agree. Since then , I know I am engaged with the stranger.
I started making plans, since both of us working overseas. (crazyness) but what's harm in planning a small wedding? People say that little girls dream about their wedding. When I think about having my wedding with a room full of people staring at me as I walk by in a giant dress and my groom waiting to take me in the altar. I really cringe and excited. You couldn't imagine the feeling but I supposed everybody feels the same.
For the past months I got engaged "kuno" LOL.. (the fact that I haven't meet him) I have a mixed feeling. Excited but I am frightened, frightened maybe because I haven't meet him personally or scared because I'm going to enter another chapter of my life. Scared as well that if I will meet him my feelings change and I will say "no he is not the right man for me" or vice versa.
Now we are arranging our wedding but what if the time comes, as I said earlier "the meeting" I am scared what he will say or I do. I am really starting to think of a huge mistake. I keep asking to him if we are doing the right thing but he assured me that It won't happen what I think.
As people say getting married is not a game. It is not like food you eat that if you don't like the taste you could spit it out. It is a lifetime commitment. And one woman told me, wedding is just a wedding. What's important is right after the wedding. Started a new life and even you know your fiancee for a long time but you didn't live together is not the same. You only know a person if you live with him/her. You have to consider in every decision you make. And even you have the brilliant ideas make him feel that is his idea. So lot to give more than you receive. For as long he could provide me what I need. As long he make a living, for me that's the important thing.
